As we get underway on a Thursday, I say the same thing every time we start the show.

We just ask every day that you don't be a, meaning someone who's just impossible to deal with.

If you grew up watching the smirfs, they used it as a euphemism for everything. You know, they're smurfing, or it's, you know, it's a smurf of a day. And, you know, it's just all kinds of, you know. And then when you got a little older, you started to look into it because you were like, wait a minute. They said they were smurfing smurfette out in the woods. Wait, holy, what the? What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here? What were they smurfing, smurf fed and the smurf?

I mean, I don't know what the hell's going on over it. You know, and the smirfs would just be la, la, la, la, la, la, la, that whole thing. So that's very much what's happening right now with the voter ID law. No one's giving you a head-on reaction to what's on the books. I'm going to run you through a host of clips over the course of the next hour,

because this is the most significant political issue in the country.
