Except, I said no, no, most personalities, there isn't a healthy version.

What? And I thought, hey, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Maybe there is.

Hello, and welcome to the Psychology Podcast. Today we welcome Dr. Jim Fadiman on the show.

0:21.5

Jim is a psychologist, writer and lecturer who has been pioneering psychedelic research since the 1960s.

0:27.8

He's recognized as America's wisest and most respected authority on psychedelics and their use.

0:33.7

Jim received his bachelor and doctor degrees from Harvard and Stanford respectively.

0:37.9

Apart from psychedelics, he's also been involved in researching healthy

We also discussed psychedelics, its effects on mental health, and how Abraham Maslow would have

viewed these mind-altering substances. It was an incredible opportunity to chat with Jim.

1:18.1

1:23.0

personally. In fact, Abe asked him to teach in his place when he went to Menwell Park during the

1:28.4

last couple years of his life. So this was a really deeply personal episode for me, and I think

1:33.0

he'll be inspired as well. So without further ado, I bring you Jim Fadiman.

1:38.1

At the moment, I'm getting a little rush. You may know Michael Pollan has a series out.

1:43.7

Of course, yeah. So I'm in the first one. Oh, Netflix for a couple of minutes,

1:51.1

and maybe two minutes total, but I'm going to have very sweet notes from people I haven't heard

1:55.6

from in a decade. So congrats. Yeah, and everyone I know says, you look really healthy in that.
