Welcome to slow more. Welcome back. Today's conversation is quite an important topic for many many

reasons. My story with this topic starts back in 2018.

It was literally two months after I left a very very long senior career in corporate America that I decided to go and spend a couple of weeks

in Darhamsala and I had the joy of having an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Even though I'm not a Buddhist, I definitely love a lot of the core beliefs of Buddhism,

definitely love the compassion core of Buddhism that his

holiness stands for. I'm also as many of you know a seeker of inspiration a

seeker of descendants and insight and hopefully enlightenment in everything that I can find so I

study Islam I study Sufism Christianity Judaism anything Taoism Zen

anything really Hinduism, Sikhism, I study anything that I can get my hands on. And as I said, I have found in my early years of researching happiness through the books of His Holiness that

the Lylem, I never heard him speak, never met him, I considered him one of my teachers.

And so getting prepared for my audience with him I decided to do something

I rarely ever do and I decided to go and buy myself a white shirt and a jacket. Instead of my typical t-shirts I decided to go properly dressed, let's put it this way.

For some strange reason I tried on the white shirt and then gave it to the shop salesperson and they put it in my bag and when I was getting ready in the morning of the day of the audience, I found that either I gained like 15 pounds

and the shirt was very, very tight on me or they gave me the wrong shirt.

Regardless, I had an hour to go so I had to do something. The only

t-shirt I had was a really funny-looking video game t-shirt that had a very cute young girl hugging a cube with pink hearts on it.

That was the only clean t-shirt I had so I had to put that on for my audience with His Holiness. As I walk into the audience and everyone of course feels the respect of the moment, I'm standing there in my funny t-shirt and his holiness walks to me and he goes among

everyone standing there and he holds my hands and he says you're the funny one
