This is Design Matters with Debbie Millman from design observer.com.

On this program, Debbie Millman talks with G. Lee about why he hates most advertising.

The reason why he hate his ads is because they're not relevant to me.

And about why he loves the possibilities for advertising on Facebook, where he works.

The reason why I believe in Facebook is that you can create relevant piece of communication

because you know how to target people who are supposed to see your advertising.

Here's Debbie Millman. If you were in New York City in 2005, you may have seen one of the blank speech bubbles

on advertisements throughout the city.

And you may even remember some of the countless creative phrases written in by

Passers By. This was called the Bubble Project and it was created by G. Lee, who is currently the communication designer at Facebook.

G. Lee is also a colleague of mine here at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

He's here today to fill in many of the audio bubble stickers I'm

going to toss his way in the form of questions.
