biblically about everything. All right so we're going to start now our

verse by verse study of the book of Romans,

starting now Romans 1 verse 1. Last week we did an overview of Romans and if you didn't get

to listen to that I recommend you go check it out on YouTube because

There's a perspective when you just look at the whole book in one day that is really interesting and and see the flow chapter by chapter it really pulls it together in a

fresh way I think it's really useful but now we're going to do that slow

verse by verse methodical study because Romans is jam-packed with amazing stuff and it really truly is.

It's not like you have to dig to find something that's not there.

It's just there's so much that's there. We of course will not be able to get everything

out of the book but we will get what we can and and what I want to do first though is

just read this passage. Romans chapter 1 verse 1 through 16. We're just going to read straight through it

to get it into our hearts and minds,

and then we're going to go back over it more slowly.

So here we are, Romans 1, 1.

It says, Paul, a bond servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle separated to the gospel of God,

which he promised before through his prophets in the holy scriptures concerning his son Jesus Christ our Lord who was born of the seed of David

according to the flesh and declared to be the son of God with power according

to the spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the debt.

Through him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations

for his name,

among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ.
