I'm Tara Jean Stevens, and here are this week's headlines from the Heaven Bent Universe.

Jesus to attend World Series.

So I've been watching the MLB playoffs this year, and what's really jumped out at me is how many

public displays of Christianity there are. You know, players pointing to the sky, praying on the field, talking about Jesus in interviews.

Here's what I've noticed with the two teams heading into the World Series, my Blue Jays and the Dodgers.

For the Blue Jays, I'm noticing lots of public displays of Christianity,

especially from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Vladie.

A lot of the time he's, yeah, pointing to the sky, especially after a home run,

and he's spoken openly about his faith for years.

Meanwhile, on the Dodger side, the team actually hosts Christian or I think they call them

faith and family events, and one of their starting pitchers, Clayton Kershaw, has even

hosted some of them in the past years, so really openly letting everyone know about

his faith and his religious beliefs.

God gave me baseball. I know that. I didn't do anything to deserve that.

There's no reason that I can throw a baseball better than some people. He just did it so I could serve his kingdom.

I know that. And that's the other cool thing too, is there's no reason that nobody should feel above or below somebody else.

We're all the exact same in God.

It doesn't matter if you're the best at it, if you're the worst at it.

But if you're doing it for God, that's pretty cool.

Back in June, during the team's Pride Night, which celebrates the LGBTQ-plus community,

all the Dodgers wore caps with the team logo in rainbow colors, the rainbow being the symbol of that movement.
