Some years ago, Grace and I took the kids in a tour to Israel. I'd love to do a tour, a trip to Israel

sometime, not right now. They've got to calm down. But we went to Israel, we took the kids, and we

went out on the Sea of Galilee, and they showed us an ancient fishing boat that was from the same time

period that Jesus performed this miracle, so you can actually see roughly what

the boat perhaps look like. That's the ancient hole on the left and that is a remade version

of it on the right. How many of you that doesn't look particularly restful? Okay, I don't know about you.

You're very tired if you feel like that's comfortable.

In a storm on a raging sea, Jesus Christ is exhausted.

So what happens is the fishermen who are on the boat, this is what they do for a living.

How are they reacting?

They are freaking out.

They've been through many storms,

but this is next level storm for them.

If you live fishing on this body of water,

you've been through lots of stormy season.

At the end of the day, you're like, we've got this.

This time, they realize we're gonna to die. Like, this is going

to end us. We're taking on water. The boat is breaking, the seas are surging, and we are struggling.

So they wake Jesus up. And what I love about this, how does Jesus stop the storm?

It just speaks to it.
