This is the good news of the gospel.

God made us, showed us how to live, but we chose our own way.

Our sins separated us from God.

But God had a compassionate plan. The Father sent his son Jesus to

restore all that was broken. We couldn't comprehend Jesus. Or his supposed kingdom.

His message was radical and offensive.

So we killed him.

But a greater story was being told.

The father placed the wrongdoings of the entire world

past, present and future on Jesus making a way back to himself. Now through Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, we are raised to new life, free from all guilt and condemnation.

As God is making all things new.

His spirit now lives in those who believe

to take his good news to all people,

even to the ends of the earth.

This is the gospel. Good morning church. My name is Melody Chandler. I'm a resident in the

Connections ministry. This morning we'll be reading Hebrews 2 verses 14 through 18.

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood,

he himself likewise partook of the same things

that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death that is the devil

and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.

For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.
