0:49.1 | Oregon. I've been intrigued in your story. I've read a little bit about you. But could you tell our listening audience how things happened in your life to get you to where you are today? Oh, wow. Yeah, absolutely. Thank you so much for having me. So yeah, I'm Filipino, Puerto Rican, Jamaican, so all islands in me. I was born in Manila, Philippines, and was raised here in Florida. |
1:14.5 | And so was raised with a big, loud, crazy family who gathered around my grandmother's wooden table in her little home. |
1:26.4 | The way that I came to faith was that I had an aunt and uncle who |
1:30.6 | would send me a Bible. They lived in the Philippines, so they would always send me Bibles. I would not read them. |
1:35.3 | They would just collect dust in the corner. And one day I had this sort of mental, emotional breakdown in |
1:41.3 | my room and was just by myself. And I looked up and I saw the Bible |
1:47.1 | there and I was like, let me just see. Let me just open it up. Whatever. I opened it up to the middle |
1:52.8 | and it just happens to be the Psalms. The poetry, right? And I read Psalm 69, save me, oh God, the waters have come over my head. |
