All right, we are digging in today to the Book of John, the Gospel of John, Chapter 17.

Today we'll be looking at verse number 13.

And I would encourage you if you have a copy of the

scripture, pull it out and take a look at verse number 13 of chapter 17. This is

Jesus speaking and he's speaking in the form of a prayer.

So get that in your head for a second.

Jesus is speaking to his Heavenly Father.

And he says, but now I am coming to you.

And these things I speak in the world that they may have my joy fulfilled

in themselves.

I'm reading that very slowly and deliberately because I want those words to sink in.

Let me read it again. Now I am coming to you so Jesus is saying the time's coming when I'm going to die

I'm going to be buried I'm going to be

raised and I am going to come back to you father I'm going to be at your side again and

these things I speak in the world that they my disciples may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
