Hello my friends I am so glad that you are back with me for the morning mindset.

This is our opportunity today to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word.

And I wanted to ask you to consider a year-end gift to not a needy person or

hardships that come up in life cause each of us to ask all kinds of questions about God, about suffering, about evil in the world.

I know we all have asked questions about people like Adolf Hitler, for example, or maybe even Vladimir Putin, people who are seemingly very

evil and doing very evil things. And we wonder why does God allow that? What are some of God's purposes for those sorts of things.

Well today in John chapter 17 verse number 12 we are going to get a little bit of insight into some of the reasons that God allows

evil and evil people to exist in the world and to do the evil that they do.

Let's look at John 17, verse number 12. Now for context, Jesus is the one speaking and

Jesus is praying to the Father. So he and His Father, God in heaven, are having a conversation and Jesus is

expressing his heart and here's what he says in verse 12. He says while I was

with them and the them he's speaking about are his 12 disciples, he

says, while I was with them, I kept them in your name which you have given me.

I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost,

except the son of destruction,

that the scripture might be fulfilled.
