I want to open your Bibles up to Isaiah chapter 52 and we're going to be looking at what a lot of people

have actually called this passage the heart of the Bible and there's good reason

why they say this. It is an incredibly moving, powerful,

prophetic, impressive, amazing, I mean you name it, this passage will blow you away Isaiah 52 and 53 actually

we're going to start in Isaiah 52 verse 12 then we're going to read all the way to

the rest of Isaiah 53 and the thing about this what my concern is going into this amazing prophecy as we're

talking about evidence for the Bible here in this series my concern is that I will

understate this prophecy to you.

That's my fear.

As you dig in and you keep digging and you could listen to this whole Bible study

and then you will walk away,

go dig in it again and you'll get much more

because it is such an impressive and deep and powerful passage and there's so much more than what I'm going to be able to say or probably even what I'm aware of in this passage.

It was written by a guy named Isaiah. It was written around 700 BC.

About 700 BC. So we're talking how long before Jesus?

Over 700 years before Jesus was walking the earth and doing his ministry, you know, right around 27, 28, 30 AD, right about that time.

So over 700 years, all four of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, they all allude to

Isaiah 53. Now I'm going to say 53, but I'm referring to 52 verse, verse 12, all the way through 53, but I don't want to keep saying

Isaiah 52 12 through 53 13 like I don't want to keep saying that I'll just say

Isaiah 53 for the sake of ease but really they probably broke the chapter in the wrong spot.
