That is the first place trophy to an ugly sweater contest, which I won last night at our neighborhood Christmas party.

So obviously I am in a good mood.

And the reason why I look so tired.

I was up way later than I normally, and I go to bed so early these days, man.

I go to, I try to get, I put our kids to bed at like 7.30.

I've got them on a pretty tight schedule these days.

And then I try to be in bed by 8.30 and ideally asleep by 9.30.

I don't know why I'm telling you all this. Off to a weird start.

Welcome back to the Zat Tired podcast. We're brand new here. Just a bunch of guys trying to figure out what it looks like for us to find healing in Jesus.

If that sounds weird to you, yeah, I don't know what to tell you tell you man we're just a bunch of normal broken dudes

we're we're trying to figure out um many of the guys in the dad tired community would say i

think that they've searched for healing or joy or satisfaction and all kinds of things in their

life work money, family even,

sex, drinking, substances, all kinds of, like, they just look for, like, they've kind of been

spent their life scrambling for hope and joy and satisfaction. And I think collectively,

we would say, none of it really worked out for us.

None of those things actually satisfied us that much or at all.

In fact, it went the opposite direction, really hurt us or caused us pain or lack of joy,

lack of peace.

And so we're finding, as weird as that might sound to you if you're completely not maybe you say

I'm not religious at all or you're not a believer at all it might sound weird but we really believe
