Hamons. We're two ministers slash buds who love telling the stories of the Bible and we cannot wait to share another one with you. In fact, today, Matt, we're going to embark on a new journey, a special emphasis if you will. Would you care to share?

0:46.0

I'd love to. We're going to be looking at the first year of Jesus' ministry, so Jesus year one. I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know mom that the energy may be a little off because for the first time in five years, I forgot to press record. We didn't get very far.

1:03.0

We were a good five minutes into it. A solid five. We discovered things about one another. There were some heartwarming anecdotes. We're better people for it, but it's lost to the ages now.

1:18.0

It's okay. We're going to press reset. We're going for it. Matt, okay, so year one of Jesus. It's going to be great. Now, maybe someone's listening and they're thinking, okay, so is this all you're going to do for how long it's going to be focused solely on Jesus? Unpack that for us a little bit.

1:41.0

Yes, thank you for asking that question. We will be sprinkling in some other stories along the way, but this will kind of give us a direction for the coming episodes, but we're going to throw in some Old Testament stories, some other New Testament stories, so not everything's not shifting, but this is going to be our emphasis and facets.

2:05.0

And things you're going to throw in you said are sprinkles. Yeah, we're going to we're going to throw in some. How do you feel about sprinkles time?

2:13.0

I'm not a fan personally. They do look pretty, you know, on ice cream or donuts. I'll take fun, fatty all day, but sprinkles not flavorful.

2:27.0

It tastes like little pieces of plastic. Not a fan personally. Tell me what your thoughts on this.

2:36.0

I feel like they, particularly an ice cream. Well, no, on anything. You're just putting a crunchy, flavorless, odorless barrier between me and the thing that I actually want to eat.

2:50.0

I don't want to eat sprinkles. I want to eat the frosting. I don't want to eat sprinkles. I want to eat the ice cream. Might as well take whatever delicious tree you have put it in a box and put a lock on it and say, well, that's just a part of the presentation.

3:01.0

The sprinkles in my personal opinion, Matt, because I'm not sharing other people's opinions. It's just mine.

3:11.0

It ruins the texture, the, you know, I want the ice cream to be smooth.

3:17.0

Yep. I don't need a little crunch. If there is a crunch, it's because there's like chocolate, shavings in it or something, but not sprinkles.

3:25.0

No, thanks. No, thank you.

3:27.0

Yeah.

3:28.0

We are going to sprinkle in some other stories, but today we're starting with year one, the very beginning.

3:35.0

Jesus ministry of Jesus ministry, but just a quick recap. There's a difference between Jesus's existence and his ministry, right?

3:43.0

So Jesus is God and he's always existed. John one makes that beautifully clear.

3:49.0

We see in the Bible that Jesus was the means through which everything was created and without him, there would be nothing.

3:57.0

Before creation even happened, God knew what men would do. God knew that men would fall, that they would sin, and there'd be a divide in the relationship between people and God.

4:09.0
