Hey everyone, it's Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day where I pray through the Bible verse by

verse so happy to have you here. This is a good day because we have made it through the book of Jeremiah.

My goodness is that a long book and there's so much that said. Jeremiah had a lot to say.

And we are leaving at the very end where Babylon has come in and we're seeing more of right prior to this

we have this promise of God judging Babylon eventually but at the end of the book of Jeremiah is just

the sad besieging of Jerusalem. So that's where we find him now. I'm going to read Jeremiah 52

verses 17 through 34 in the world English Bible,

and this is what it says. The Chaldeans broke the pillars of bronze that were in Yahweh's house

and the bases in the Bronze Sea that were in Yahweh's house in pieces and carried all of their

bronze to Babylon. They also took away the pots, the shovels,

the snuffers, the basins, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered.

The captain of the guard took away the cups, the firepans, the basins, the pots, the lampstands,

the spoons, and the bowls, that which was of gold as gold, and that which was of silver as silver.

They took the two pillars, the one C and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the bases,

which King Solomon had made for Yahweh's house.

The bronze of all these vessels was without weight.

As for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was 18 cubits and a line of 12 cubits encircled it,

and its thickness was four fingers. It was hollow.

A capital of bronze was on it, and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates on the capital all around.
