In our last few studies on through the Bible,

we've walked through some of Israel's darkest days,

but today our teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee

says that we've come to a bright spot, a place of encouragement.

Now as you find your seat and your place in Jeremiah Chapter 31,

we got just enough time to share a letter from a fellow listener named John who writes,

this email is many years overdue because on January 1, 2000,

I hopped on the Bible bus.

How faithful my Lord has been.

Today as I just finished Philippians, which Dr. McGee recorded while stranded in a winter Boston snowstorm, my wife and I are experiencing an Arctic vortex on Lake Erie with snow, ice, and sub-zero temperatures. Arctic over 35 years and must agree with Dr. McGee when he said if a doctor knew as much

about medicine as the average person in church knows the Bible he would lose all

his patients. My prayer as I near retirement is that God would enable all of us riding the Bible bus to give

an answer as Peter wrote in 1st Peter 3 15 and 16 for the hope that we have with gentleness and respect keeping a

clear conscience please continue to save my seat Stephen Gregg and then he signs

it in Christ Dr. John well thanks for your. John. It's great to hear from you and

don't worry your seat will always be here. As we begin this study, let's thank the

Lord for the blessing his word is in our lives. Thank you, Father, for this time to gather together

and hear from you. Encourage our hearts to keep seeking you in every area of our lives,

even in the ones that look impossible. In Jesus' name we pray.
