we get a glimpse of how God used a young man, really just a teenager, to turn a nation's

attention back to himself.

Welcome to Through the Bible, I'm Steve Schwartz, your host, and I'm glad that you've chosen

to spend time with us as we study God's word together.

And that's why we're here to walk through God's word book by book, all 66 of them.

And we're back in Jeremiah today, a book that we've already seen is really one for heavy hearts.

But there's a glimpse of hope on the scene.

Our teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee tells us about the young King Josiah and how he helped eradicate idolatry from the land

and give God's word back to its proper authority.

Just as it was in Jeremiah's day, God loves to use people no matter their age. We receive this great letter

from a young woman named Mary. I want to congratulate you on this great program you guys offer

day after day. I'm currently a student at Santa Monica College since I live in downtown Los Angeles. I commute every morning by car with my boyfriend

As we go to school we tune in Dr McGee's messages and they give us a great start to the day.

Listening to God's word is helpful in the morning, especially now during finals week.
