Hey everyone, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day where I pray you through the Bible verse by verse.

And I've been doing this about seven years. If you're new to the podcast, welcome. So grateful to have you.

It's very simple. Right now I'm reading from the book of Jeremiah. We usually jump back and forth between the Old and New Testament.

And then I pray for you according to what I have read. And what I have found is I learn how to

pray by listening to other people pray. So maybe this is a helpful thing for you as well. And maybe in the

little bits of exegesis that I do of scripture, your mind is open to scripture in a new way, perhaps.

That's my prayer. I love the Bible. I love to pray. And I love you. And I'm grateful

that the Lord has created you. And I don't think it's an accident that you're listening to this

podcast today, even some of you for the very first time. We use the World English Bible because

it's a free translation to use. And today I'm going to be reading the whole chapter of Jeremiah

28. This is what it says.

That same year in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, King of Judah,

and the fourth year in the fifth month,

Hananiah the son of Azur, the prophet,

who was of Gibbon, spoke to me in Yahweh's house

in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying,

Yahweh of armies, the God of Israel, says, I have broken the yoke of the presence of the priests and all the people saying, Yahweh of armies, the God of Israel,

says, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. Within two full years, I will bring again

into this place all of the vessels of Yahweh's house that Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon,

took away from this place and carried Babylon. I will bring again to this place, Jechaniah, the son of Joachim, king of Judah,

with all the captives of Judah who went to Babylon, says Yahweh, for I will break the yoke of the
