0:07.0	Let's turn the page and look at Jeremiah chapter 17.
0:10.0	I'll start in verse 5.
0:12.0	Says, Thus says the Lord,
0:13.0	Curse are those who trust in mere mortals,
0:17.0	and make mere flesh their strength,
0:19.0	whose hearts turn away from the Lord.
0:21.0	They shall be like a shrub in the desert.
0:24.0	They shall not see when relief comes.
0:26.0	They shall live in the parched places of the wilderness.
0:30.0	And in contrast,
0:31.0	Blessed are those who trust in the Lord.
0:33.0	They shall be like a tree planted by water,
0:35.0	sending out its roots by the stream.
0:37.0	It shall not fear when the heat comes.
0:43.0	And I love that.
0:44.0	I mean, that's probably worth unpacking for a minute.
0:46.0	What does this mean in your life to really trust in the Lord
0:50.0	versus trusting in mere mortals?
0:53.0	That's a theme that Jeremiah returns to a few times.
0:56.0	This issue of trust. Where's my trust?
0:58.0	The Book of Mormon would call that the arm of the flesh.
