0:32.0 | So I got into beauty in my mid 20s, actually, which now looking back seems like, oh, you were so young, but at the time, I really felt like I was starting the game late. |
0:44.0 | Because a lot of my peers, you know, they were journalism majors in college. And so a lot of their internships started off in the editorial world, you know, at different magazines. |
0:55.0 | And whereas I kind of did the reverse, I started off in journalism for not even a full semester. And I quickly switched to communication because I thought, oh, I'll make myself more marketable this way. |

2:22.0 | And yeah, it was a great first job, despite it having nothing to do with beauty, I was just happy to be employed and have insurance truthfully. |
2:32.0 | Yeah, yeah, that's so cool. I like that, though, you know, it's like you gain so many perspectives along the way. So when you eventually settle down into your real career, it's like, it's nice to have that. So I'm actually glad you did that. |
2:43.0 | Yeah, you know, it's one of those things in hindsight, you appreciate that stuff so much more. I think at the time I felt incredibly scattershot almost, you know, it's kind of like, what am I doing really? |
2:56.0 | And so from there, I knew I always wanted to have a chapter in New York, you know, it's just one of those things. I just really wanted to have that New York lifestyle. |

3:14.0 | And it was a event planning position for an investor relations firm in Midtown and wow, just completely different. I knew from the get go that this was a stepping stone to get myself to New York. So I can support my my lifestyle and my expensive lifestyle in New York. |
3:31.0 | Right. Right. |
3:34.0 | But I quickly knew that that was going to be a temporary, you know, solution to get myself there. And then I had to figure out what I really, really want to do. |
