I can remember one day my wife came to me. I think she sat in on some of your classes and some of your

Education Week stuff and she said, Jennifer is the best teacher you have in your department.

And I said, you know, I'm in my department, don't you? And she said, yeah, I know.

And I was like, oh, okay, I see how this goes. But anyway, I felt the same way. I sat in on a number

of classes. Just a gifted teacher, a wonderful person. I'll let her explain why I would say this.

I think she's the only faculty member, a religious educator that I know, who was always talking about coffee all the time.

Yeah, when I first came to interview at BYU, it was 2011 when I finished my doctoral studies at Arizona State

University. And I had spent my time studying the Ethiopian coffee ceremony. And I don't remember

who it was that asked, what do you have to bring to BYU? And I said coffee. And it kind of became the joke, didn't it?
