Summary

This episode features the amazing Jen Gotch, and I think it’s actually the perfect episode for this strange time. Jen is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Ban.Do, and the author of the new memoir The Upside of Being Down. On this episode, we talk about: Her mental health journey, including the various tools that have actually helped with her depression & anxiety How she created a workplace where people can cry How people can approach mental health struggles in a workplace Jen’s divorce plus dating in your 40s How to make good girlfriends as an adult Her unique approach to networking and how it’s benefitted her in her career How she cultivates her optimistic perspective and how other people can too Her relationship to her looks, including aging and acne, and how she finds confidence through it all (including her thoughts on Botox and fillers) You can find Jen on Instagram @jengotch, and I’m of course @lizmoody. Screenshot and tag us both with your thoughts, feelings, and reactions to this episode! Enjoy! PS: Healthier Together is officially a number one best-seller! You can get your copy on Amazon or at lizmoody.com/cookbook. Please keep sending me your creations on Instagram—they make me so happy! This episode is sponsored by Simple Mills, a company whose grain-free products I’m obsessed with. In this episode, I talk about the baking mixes specifically (the brownie mix, vanilla cake mix, and pizza crust!), which you can order on Amazon and find in most grocery stores. This episode is sponsored by Pukka, one of my favorite tea brands. They make incredible herbal teas with 100% organic ingredients, and they’re also certified Fair for Life. Beyond that, the Pukka bags are fully plastic free, and stitched together with 100% organic, non-GMO cotton. My favorite blends are Relax, After Dinner, and Tulsi Clarity, and Zack loves the Revitalize blend. You can find out more about Pukka at pukkaherbs.us. Healthier Together cover art by Zack. Healthier Together music by Alex Ruimy.
