I'm the host Scott Feinberg and my guest today is Jeff Bridges, the beloved Oscar-winning

actor who has been making great movies for almost a half century.

The 66 year olds credits include the last picture show,

Fat City, the Ice Man cometh,

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Starman,

the Fabulous Baker Boys, the Fisher King, the Big Labowski, the contender,

Sea Biscuit, Crazy Heart, True Grit, and most recently, Hell or High Water.

In that film, which was released in in August and for which he is now

widely regarded as the man to beat in the best supporting actor Oscar race, Bridges plays

a chatty Texas Ranger in post-recession Texas, working with his partner to solve one last case, a string of bank robberies, before his retirement.

Much like his character in that film, Bridges himself is a hell of a lot of fun to spend time with.
