So we have come to a point where he's just like, if it's going to be like event session about your emotions, just forewarn me. And I'll be like, tomorrow I need to talk about my feelings. And he's like, okay. And I think it's just getting comfortable with asking for what you need and want. And then as a mom, one of the biggest lessons I learned is you cannot go to your husband to talk about mom life stuff. They just will never get it. I mean, they want to. They're a parent also, but there are some shit that goes on with moms that nobody else could understand but another mom. You need the mom to being like, it doesn't matter what decision you make, moms don't get it wrong in my eyes. We show up, we do the best we can, we pivot, we continue. |
