Hello everyone, Tom Clarkson here and welcome to your favourite podcast. It's Beyond the

My guess this week is one of Motorsports' high achievers. In a career spanning 50 years,

one pretty much ever-think, from rallying to the PariDakar to Le Mans and the Formula

One World Championship. And as if that wasn't enough, he's currently in his third term

as president of the FIA and in the throes of working on F1's 2021 rules among other things.

I'm talking of course about Jean-Todd. To F1 fans, Jean is most famous for leading Ferrari

to multiple F1 world titles in the 2000s. And as might as that domination was and don't

forget that Schumacher's driver's title in 2000 was Ferrari's first since 1979, you need to

remember that Todd's achievements extend far beyond Maronello. He was a successful rally co-driver

before taking the reins at Purgio Sport and dominating all forms of rallying and the world sports

car championship. Jean is an intense character. He's a self-confessed worker-holic who doesn't take

holidays and only looks forward. So it was interesting and surprising to sit down with him for an

hour at Silverstone recently, with cars buzzing in the background and to ask him to reflect.

After all, this is a man who rarely has an hour to spare. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
