I'm on the phone with Ashvin, and today we are discussing Jaws from 1975, directed by Steven Spielberg, written by Carl Gottlieb and Peter Benchley, based on the 1974 novel by Peter Benchley, starring Roy Schuyter, Richard Dreyfus, Robert Shaw, and Lorraine Gary.

In this film, a chief of police, a marine biologist, and a salty sailor aimed to thwart a deadly shark who has been terrorizing their beach community.

If you're new to the show, we're going to talk about the movie spoiler-free for the first 15 or 20 minutes here.

But then once we play some transition music, we're going to go into spoiler mode and walk through the plot.
