| 0:31.5 | Poverty Law Center. So you've heard the phrase before, you can indict a ham sandwich. The idea |
| 0:36.5 | behind that is that it's actually easy to get an indictment, in part because the grand jury is not determining guilt. |
| 0:42.5 | What they're determining is whether or not there's a sufficient evidence for something to actually go to trial. |
| 0:49.0 | And if you look at that, you know, I can understand why they would be concerned about it. Because the indictment |
| 0:56.0 | alleges that between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled 3 million in donated funds |
| 1:03.0 | to white supremacist and extremist groups. Now, again, if you remember, the SPLC is the organization |
| 1:08.2 | kind of holding itself up as the arbiter of what a hate group is or what a hate crime is. |
| 1:13.7 | They're the guys you're supposed to go to to not only get legal representation for this stuff, but they've become incredibly involved in the activist world when it comes to crafting legislation, when it comes to educating students on these things. |
