positive Friday. So, that bastard fireball made me show up to work absolutely hammered.

Well, this day it was like 535, 545 p.m., so a little bit of background.

I was working restaurants at the time.

And I was looking for other jobs.

And the messed up things, the way my brain still wants me to tell the story is that

I got a call back from one of the restaurants that I applied at. And so I decided to drink to celebrate.

Not entirely true. I had already had two or three shots when they called me and said,

coming tomorrow for orientation. And then I turned it on. Okay.

I finished about a pint of fireball, you know, took a little drunk nap, pretty much an empty stomach besides whatever I had for

breakfast. Took a little drunk nap, woke up. It's like, man, I didn't have lunch. I'm going to go get some happy hour, get some wings, had two shots in a beer, shut up to work, lit up like a Christmas tree, right? Tried to hold it together. Is this the first day or the old job?

So, so messed up, I couldn't even read my chicken scratch handwriting. I was serving, you know, so couldn't even read what I had written down in my order book for one of my tables.

Like, I had come to work after a couple before, but this was the first time I came up lit up, it came and lit up, you know. So what happened was I get to the end of my shift. They actually let me finish my shift. It was a pretty new manager at the time.

And one of the other servers comes up to me and he goes, hey, so I've been told that I should finish your sidework and that you should go home. And I'm thinking that I'm getting away with it, right? I'm like, did he say, why you know my ticket i should go back there and talk to him and find what's going on.

And this guy, Phil, he just goes, no, man, I really think that you should just leave. And I'm like, fine, I'm kind of huffing and puffing. I walk out, I walk out the back door in the kitchen, and I kick the door and I go, F this place, I'm out. well alcohol had kind of made me forget about the fact that this was an open kitchen.
