About Jasmine Hill

Jasmine Hill is a 27 year old, soon to be mother of 2, a prematurity awareness advocate, and an entrepreneur who develops natural hair care products to women of all backgrounds.

She has been married to her husband for almost 4 years, and was not expecting to be able to get pregnant due to her stage 4 endometriosis. However she and her husband both received the shock of their lives when they found out they were expecting in Nov of 2018. Little did they they know, their pregnancy would have some issues that could have potentially caused their son to be born premature and spend 108 days in the NICU.

Due to their experience Jasmine's husband, Rodney, has developed a small clothing line to raise awareness about preterm births and prematurity. She currently 7 months pregnant again, due in April.

0:28.3	experience with pre-mees this story is for you because Jasmine had a baby at 25 weeks and two days of
0:36.2	gestation, which is very, very early. Most of us know if you're pregnant.
0:43.0	Hopefully you know that a term pregnancy,
0:46.0	once you hit term, or once you are 37 weeks,
0:49.0	you're considered term,
0:51.0	but we count pregnancy. You know, most people go to 37, 40 weeks of pregnancy.
0:57.6	So to have a baby at 25 weeks is very early.
1:01.6	So Jasmine came on and shared her story. She was having issues with her pregnancy
1:06.4	pretty much from the beginning. She was having UTI kidney issues and then her cervix
1:11.6	just started to dilate.
1:13.0	By the time she was about 24 weeks,
1:16.0	her cervix was already 80% of phase to pretty thin,
1:20.0	and her cervix was 1.5 centimeters.
1:22.0	She got admitted to the hospital
1:24.5	and she was put on multiple medications
1:27.8	like magnesium, given steroid shots for his lungs,
1:31.8	morphine for pain, and lots of change in positions.
