The economic times, a similar direction. Anxiety grips China as Japan strengthens defense capabilities and

outreach. One more story that points to Japan moving away from China.

This has to do with Japan weaning itself

from China Tech is the promise. I don't know what that means it doesn't have a

long list but I can presume it's similar to what's going on in the US. Something

about trusting high-end chips from Taiwan made by European machines,

but nothing comparable of that by China. That would be Huawei. Gordon, a very good evening to you, these headlines about pointing Japan away from China and anxiety in China.

Do you measure that is excitement or there is a genuine push to

separate Japan's economy and defenses from China's reach?

Well there certainly is genuine concern about China which has been

growing ever since let's say five ten years ago and right now the acceleration is quite dramatic especially after the Ukraine

war where people in Japan are starting to understand that war is coming

back to their part of the world.
