That was not Celine Dion, who you just heard, that was Bindi Irwin.

But we're here this hour to talk about one of the most recognizable voices in the world of pop music, Miss Celine Dion.

You really, you can't go into a cheesecake factory or apple bees or mall around Christmas time or any time for that matter without hearing some of the soulful sounds of Miss Celine Dion.

And the thing that's been interesting this week as I've been walking around, I guess the week is still early, it's only Monday.

But as I've been talking to people here at News Talk 710, Cairo about Celine Dion, about this segment that we're about to do, there has been almost universal revulsion.

And yet this lady sells a lot of records. There has been a great degree of animosity.

And our next guest was maybe one of those people at one time in his life. His name's Carl Wilson. He writes for the Globe and Mail in Canada.

He was approached to write a book for a series of books, they're called 33 and a third, and they're sort of music criticism books.

And I'm looking at the website for 33 and a third, and they spend a lot of time writing about very important records, records that are put up by the Rolling Stones and Nirvana and meaningful bands like that.

But when Carl Wilson was approached to write his book, he thought, I'm going to write about an album that people actually are listening to, and a lot of them are listening to.

And he chose Let's Talk About Love by Celine Dion. The result is his book, Let's Talk About Love, A Journey to the End of Taste.
