Good morning, everyone. I'm Zach Stanton. It's Monday, January 27th, and here's what's driving the day.

Today, House Republicans head to President Donald Trump's Miami area resort for their annual policy retreat.

But it's not all sunshine and good vibes. They have major decisions to make that will have

big implications for the Trump legislative agenda. And here with me to talk about all of that is

Congress reporter Meredith Lee Hill. Good morning, Meredith. Good morning. Setting the scene here,

what is the point of this retreat? You know, what do the attendees hope to accomplish?

Well, normally these kinds of retreats are kind of a team-building activity,

really supposed to get all of the House Republicans on the same page

and give them some time away from the chaos of Washington

to kind of come together and do a little bit of planning,

but also to enjoy themselves.

This retreat, obviously, is going to be a lot

different. They will have some time down here in Florida, but they will really have a huge amount of

work to do as far as really setting and putting forward a plan to accomplish President Trump's

agenda. So the biggest task for the gathering, as I understand it, is to sort of finalize a budget

blueprint for the party line bill that they're planning that's going to touch on energy,

border security, and tax policy.

Where do things stand on that?

Are the dividing lines budging or moving at all?
