And in this bonus episode, I just want to share some feedback that you as the listeners have written in with.

And this is all to show what God can do when people are exposed

to the Bible, and in particular when people are given the tools to understand what the Bible

is saying. It really helps their faith come alive, and it can do wonderful things. Just the very

study of the Bible, opening up, going through verse by verse,

looking at what faithful academic scholars are saying about particular passages can sound really dry,

but the feedback that this ministry receives shows that actually the opposite is the case.

It really helps people understand the Bible, accept the Bible as the Word of God, and helps them

go deeper into their faith. So let's start with this short email from Chris. She says,

This Bible study is wonderful. My husband is a practicing Catholic, but has many problems with the

church. He heard the exegesis I was listening

to and really liked it, so he's tuning in every day. We are both appreciating this part of our

prayer time. I appreciate how you bring other scholars' opinions on the verses. Thank you so much for

that feedback, Christine. I'm glad you and your husband are listening, and I'm glad that this podcast is helping your husband reconsider the Catholic faith.

Next, I wanted to share some more negative feedback, a comment that was left on Apple Podcasts, and I always try to engage with these negative comments as well to see if they're fair and to see what we

can do to make the podcast better. So this person says, I've been listening to the daily

exegesis for some time now, but was quite disheartened to hear regarding one of the particular

readings that hungry disciples were walking through the fields

eating corn with a lengthy description of how corn is shucked for consumption.
