Gene and cohost Tim Swartz introduce Robert Allred, author of "Military Encounters With UFOs: Explanations and Combat Strategies." So military bodies around our planet have encountered, and even clashed with, UFOs, or as the U.S. military now defines them, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena – UAP. These observations and engagements have occurred for well over a century, at least, and on all continents. This book takes a no-nonsense approach in its careful research, with hundreds of sources cited, including formerly classified documents and testimony regarding UFOs/UAP. As readers will discover from the mass of evidence presented in this book, it is no longer a question of whether UFOs exist or not. Such phenomena are an incontrovertible fact that, according to Allred, has prompted the United States to craft plans on how to resist an alien invasion. Is there any need for humans to be concerned about the alien presence in the skies surrounding our planet? The author says, essentially, be very concerned. Allred studied at the University of California, Berkeley and undertook a ‘study abroad’ summer session, attending history courses at the University of Sussex while taking in the pastoral landscapes of southern England. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, spending his leisure time on his California ranch.

1:07.1	Now we're going to go back, partly go back to older sightings involving military encounters with UFOs.
1:11.6	And our guest is Robert Allred.
1:14.6	He is author of a history of military encounters with UFO's

1:26.6	Thank you. Thanks for inviting me on.
1:29.3	I want to focus here before we get on to the nuts and bolts, or the soup to nuts, whatever it is.
1:36.4	Would you tell our listeners your background, how did you get involved in this kind of research?
1:43.1	After many successes and non-success in my working career in both blue-collar and white-collar
1:50.1	jobs, I went back to school in my 60s, Contra Costa Community College here in California.
1:57.4	And I transferred to Berkeley, and I studied American Studies and political
2:01.6	economy. I was able to go to England for a couple of months. And I wrote a book while I was,
2:06.4	I researched the book when I was there. And then I wrote Mysteries of the Norman Conquest,
2:11.8	where I found out some interesting things about the year 1066 in their three-ray war between the Vikings, Normans, and Anglo-Saxons.
2:21.0	And then Pen and Sword, the publisher, Pen and Sword books, asked if I had anything else.
