In North Carolina, a cognitively impaired woman was found dead days after she was last seen

getting into a car outside of her home.

In Maryland, first responders were called to the scene of a car crash involving a gunshot victim.

A man later called and confessed to the alleged murder.

Also in North Carolina, sheriff's deputies responded to a reported murder where the reporting party had the alleged suspect at gunpoint.

Law enforcement soon learned that the crime spanned four different locations.

On Sunday, January 5th, the Fayetteville Police Department in North Carolina were

contacted by a family who were looking for their missing loved one.

According to this family, 25-year-old Heather Williams was last seen leaving her home at

around 10 p.m. on Saturday, January 4th.

Although Heather was considered to be an adult by her age, a car accident roughly a decade ago,

left her with a cognitive impairment and limited vocabulary. And despite those setbacks in life,

Heather worked really hard at living what others would consider to be a normal life.

The last sighting of Heather, as we mentioned, was on Saturday evening when a ring

doorbell camera captured her leaving her family's home and getting into a car that pulled up in

front of her house.

Heather's sister Mary later spoke with the media and stated, quote, you know, we tried calling
