Because Jan and I were working yesterday, I mean a lot of people I guess probably worked through the weekend.

I don't mean to be on the cross about this, but because we worked all weekend and both of us decided to get overly tired and emotional last night.

We're both, well, I'd say, coasting. At this point it's fumes.

We're like in that Seinfeld when they want to see how far below the slash they can go on the gas gauge.

I feel like that's kind of us. That's me anyway.

I feel like nothing is coming naturally easy. I'm having to work harder at making sense when I speak.

You're having to work harder at being the sparkling dynamic personality that usually on a normal night would just kind of emanate right from your little head and heart.

Yeah, I'm with you on that, but that's all right. We're professionals. I'll rise above it, you know.

It's just I'm a professional. That's what Christopher Guest says in spinal tap when he realizes that there's a difference in the size of the lunch meat versus the bread.

What can you do with that? I mean, got nothing. I'll rise above it. I'm a professional.

So I'm trying to try to rise above it here if I can tonight. And what better way to rise above all things, all things mundane than there was some awesome and not awesome.

Sometimes it can be a little less than awesome.
