Hello and welcome to Storytime for grownups.

I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

Each episode, I'll read one chapter from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes.

So brew a pot of tea, find a cozy chair,

and settle in. It of story time for grownups.

Oh, I don't know, you guys. We're getting there.

This book has 38 chapters, and this is episode 30.

I don't know. I feel sad. I feel sad that the book is ending.

There will be more books, of course, but I've just so loved reading this book with you.

But there is more. There is more book to come, as I keep saying, and there really is more book to come. So I don't think we need to be so sad just yet, but I do feel the chapters ticking away and the time

ticking away. But as we get a little closer to the end, I will talk to you about what will happen

next and what we will do once we're done with this book and when the next book will start and all

of those things. So I know some people are wondering, I will get to that in probably in a couple of

weeks from now.

I think at this point, everybody who is here probably knows that this is not the chapter to start with. If this is your

first time dipping into story time for grownups, episode one is where to start because we're

reading the book. So we are very far along and we've developed many themes and we're talking about

many things and you will be quite lost. But we will be here in recorded form when you come back.
