Storytime for Grownups. We're going to be reading Chapter 29 of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

with a few notes along the way. I keep thinking about the part of the book where they were having

the house party with Blanche Ingram and the charades

and the fortune tiller, all of that feels like a lovely time, like childhood or something.

Things are getting real for Jane.

And all of that stuff from before just kind of feels like we were just kind of messing around, right?

And now, suddenly, this is the real deal.
