Dr. Leighton Flowers, director of Evangelism and Apologetics for Texas Baptists, walks through the latest Dividing Line program from Dr. James White in which he demonstrates for us one of Calvinism’s most common categorical errors. He turns the “libertarian free will vs determinism” debate into a “free to save yourself vs bondage to sin” debate. One can be in bondage to sin and still able to respond positively to God’s own appeals to come so as to be set free from sin’s bondage. Let's explore John 8 and 10 a bit deeper together so as to better understand Calvinist's fundamental errors.

0:40.0 | We've been doing that for the last two years. |
0:42.0 | People talk about being obsessed and all these kinds of things with Dr. White. |
0:45.6 | And I've said before, I think it's a really healthy engagement as long as we can remain cordial. |
0:53.1 | On our side of things, I think we've maintained that. I think Dr. |
0:56.5 | White provides a good foil for us for a lack of better word there in order to see side by side the two different perspectives. |
1:05.2 | And what you're going to hear from Dr. White here really is a clear concise contrast to what provisionism teaches and some conflations. |
1:13.4 | We've talked about before what a conflation is. It's when you're a categorical error is often made. |
1:20.2 | I made this point on Twitter the other day and then Dr. White almost perfectly demonstrates it the very next day after I tweeted this out. |
1:29.9 | Here's the tweet if you want to look at it here. |
1:33.4 | Let's see if I can put it into the screen. |

1:39.1 | Right there. |
1:39.9 | One of Calvinism's most common categorical errors is making the free will versus determinism |
