with James Pragioni from the Gardening channel with James Pragioni and

James you've recently been getting into raised bed gardening, which I think it's interesting because I would say most backyard gardeners, that might be the first thing that they get into.

You went into the deep end of permaculture and then you've sort of come up to the

raised bed world so can you talk a little bit about that transition and what

style of raised beds you're working with? Yeah absolutely.

Well permaculture got me so excited, got me going.

And then I knew that kind of saying where the best time to plant a tree seven years ago, the

second best time is now.

So I was trying to look ahead a little bit and get my

fruit trees in kind of first and then focus a little more on the annuals. So now

that I have my fruit trees in a lot of my perennials in, it's almost like what

do I do next?

So then that's when I said, let me get into some intense style of gardening.

So I said, I think it's time to build some raised beds and

that's what got me into the square foot gardening.
