The people who told you it would be a good idea.

The people who told you that they needed us more than we needed them.

The people who told you that it would be like trying to get the eggs out of a baked cake,

I appreciate you're probably not ready yet

to send them bouquets of flowers and bottles of champagne,

but at least you were in possession of the facts you needed

not to have been taken by surprise by recent events.
