And today, we are starting off with wide receiver Jalen Hyatt.

23 years old will be 24 by the end of September, 6 foot 185 pounds.

He was a 23 third round pick that

Joe Shane would have traded up for or that did he did trade up for and was willing to

take in the second round of John Michael Smith had been drafted the pick before last season

the Giants in year two of Jalen Hyatt's career beg him to become a starting wide receiver

and he ended the season with eight catches for 62 yards.

A disaster season for the second year player

and year three he looks to carve out of roles

as team's top backup.

Yeah, it has not been

all sunshine and rainbows for Jalen Hyatt.

His draft, I guess, negative was that he was a one-trick pony of just being a really fast receiver that operated on a really fast, up-tempo, kind of fake offense at Tennessee.

Joe Shane described his speed as being something like palpable that you could feel on

the field that it was just moved differently.

And I think the fact that he had such a good game against Alabama really boned up Joe

Shane's opinion of him.

But nothing has really come to fruition for Jalen Hyatt with the New York Giants. Then again, you know, the Giants' offense has not really operated well downfield in the two years that he's been here regardless of who was running routes. So kind of, I don't want to say it's a wash, but because the Giants really did beg for him to win a position that he just didn't win.

Yeah. And again, like I have a line that I had saved for later, but I'll use it right now.
