warm feelings for my guest today. I mean, we have known each other since we were, I mean,

you dude, you were like 22 or 23 and I was like 24. I was trying to figure out today.

Our wives are like fucking sisters to each other and Jacob Dylan is, to me, one of the best

songwriters walk in the earth. He makes great records in our 20s and a good amount of our

30s. We spend a ton of time together, not as much over the last bunch of years, but I love

Jacob and his wife and his children a lot. And Amy considers herself an aunt to those kids.

And Jacob has an incredibly good new album coming out called Exit Wounds. And I thought it would

be a great opportunity to talk to him about what he does and why he does what he does. In the old

days, maybe there would have been drinks and a lot of busting on each other, but so far that

doesn't feel like it's happening. And cigarettes may be back then, but not now. Hi, Jacob.

Hey, Hey, are you, so we're not going to spend a lot of time talking about the time you beat me,

one on one with a broken arm, and I scored not one point. You scored 21. Well, I wasn't going to

bring it up. And I also like you say that I beat you one time. It was endless and constant.

Now, you know, I, that was in Santa Monica, right? Yeah, you had a broken arm and you're from New

York, that area where you guys grow up playing basketball. We like basketball here a lot.

We watch it on TV. We play literally got here's kids. You want to run around a little bit.

It's an exercise. And you said, one on one. And I said, yeah, look at your arm. You have a broken

arm. And you said, well, let's just try this and go anyway. Yeah, it was, if I had to say one

of the more probably one of the more, one of the moments I feel more ashamed than most

that you actually shut me out. It wasn't that I, but you did say, oh, yeah, actually,

your quote was, yeah, it's a lot harder when you're not in the driveway by yourself, isn't
