We are going into yet another festive period.

Slight hint of weariness in the voice there.

The festival of Chavarot is nearly upon us.

It will come on Sunday evening. Two days and one night here. So it blocks out a big chunk of the

calendar. Now, I always think that Chauvelot, we'll talk about others who've expressed views on this festival on our podcast,

but before we get to that, I always think there's a sort of hug fatigue problem for Chavat,

which is it comes after you've had Pesach, which is really a blockbuster festival.

There's also just been before that, there's been Purim, which is, we again have talked

about that quite a lot. It's a rift between us, you know, you're a Pesach man, I'm a Purim person. Very much,

that divide. And Pyrrim, in a way, is not a full official sort of festival in the sense of, you know,

you're not required to refrain from work and all that.

Whereas Pesach has, you know, here, again, diaspora, four days of that where you are,

it's got sort of Shabbat status, you're not meant to work.

And then Chavot comes along and has two more.

And I just remember when I would take off those days at school, I didn't go to a Jewish school, there would be a sort of eye roll from teachers, and they would kind of go, seriously, you're really doing this again?

What kind of religion are you?
