And today we've got special guest officially now in Los Angeles Laker. Jake Laravia, Jake, thanks so much for coming on the show. Yes, sir. Thanks for having me back on here. Jake, you know, last time you and I spoke, we were over on the front office show, covering the whole NBA, you were still a free agent. We had that little moment where you panned over in the car to Austin Reeves when I brought up the Lakers question. Did you guys have that planned out ahead of time? I had no idea that Austin was in that car with you. Did you have that planned out? Like, hey, if I, if you asked anything about the Lakers, you can show me on here? No, not. It wasn't planned.

The timing, the timing just happened to be perfect. We were going to get a rental car. And

then I ended up riding with Austin. And he ended up asking the Lakers question. I was like,

well, I am with the current

Laker right now but yeah it ended up just being perfect time but it was it was funny it was

was Austin a factor in your decision to to join the Los Angeles Lakers and go with them in free agency

like not to sound like,

I don't know, like a,

whatever, but not really.

It was more so just based off of

like fit

for me, just as far as what their needs were,

you know, like losing dough and free agency and you know

needing to kind of replace like that three and D type wing off the bench or whatever

whatever they needed and I felt that that was just the best you know fit for me as far

as teams that that needed something that. And I just ended up

choosing the Lakers. I think their player development process is really good. As you see, like that is

where you can include like Austin and his player development since he's been in the NBA, the steps

that he's taken each year. You can even, you know, like Rui, other guys that have just

been in the, in the Lakers uniform for a while. And that's another big thing for me because, you know,

I don't think, you know, I'm 23 years old. I don't think I'm near my potential. I have a lot to

work on. And I think the Lakers can, you know, best best help me get there and kind of on that same subject
