Last night in Major League Baseball, it was a night in Alabama to pay homage respect to the Negro Leagues,

which I applaud Major League Baseball for the last handful of years doing more of that.

Many may not know that if you drive down Pennsylvania Street right around at about like 11th and

Penn and actually just a little bit to the east of that right where the

interstate goes over you kind of by in between Penn and Mass Ave or excuse me college where the interstate goes over you kind of by in between pen and mass av or excuse me college

where the interstate they just did off of mass ave and college the where the interstate goes over

they just redid the infrastructure of that but but right around that area where the interstate

comes through that would be just near the old spaghetti bowl.

That area is where Oscar Charleston was born.

The old segregated area of Indianapolis, the black area of Indianapolis, there were two.

One was Lockfield, which is now basically IEPUI, and the other was that area where the

interstates came through.

When they did the interstate system in the 1950s, truthfully, as they came through major

cities, they basically said, well, we've got to channel this through the lower income
