Summary

(00:00-27:45) – Query & Company opens on a Friday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing last night’s baseball game at Rickwood Field between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants. Additionally, they discuss the powerful message that Reggie Jackson delivered last night when asked about being back in Birmingham, Alabama. Finally, they get into the NBA Draft a little bit with it a week away.

(27:45-42:18) – Jake and Jimmy continue discussing the NBA Draft with a focus on the two players from Indiana college that will hear their name called in the first round. They share what they expect to see from Kel’el Ware and Zach Edey in the NBA.

(42:18-48:49) – Hour one concludes with Jake and Jimmy discussing the comments made by Matt Painter last night on how the Kanon Catchings situation unfolded.

(48:49-1:14:04) – After briefly discussing the Catchings situation last segment, Jake and Jimmy continue a further conversation about Matt Painter because this is something that he has done before and will continue to do. Also, they provide a little knowledge ahead of their next segment pertaining to the Burger Chef Murders that took place in Speedway, Indiana in November of 1978.

(1:14:04-1:38:13) – Producers Luke Rynderman and Adam Kamien from Vertical Films/AppleTV/Amazon Prime and “The Speedway Murders” join Jake Query & Jimmy Cook to share how two Australians discovered the Burger Chef Murders and why they wanted to pursue a documentary about it. Jake and Jimmy ask the two producers why they decided to provide four different scenarios as to how the murders took place, the challenges of being able to find all the props to make reenact that night and discuss what they hope happens from people watching this documentary.

(1:33:13-1:39:05) – Jake and Jimmy close out the second hour of the program by listing why Mikal Bridges would be a fit with the Indiana Pacers, but also explain why the team won’t acquire him from the Brooklyn Nets.

(1:38:13-2:02:35) – The final hour of the show starts with discussing Jake and Jimmy rehashing some of their thoughts from the top of the hour pertaining to the comments made by Reggie Jackson last night when asked about being back in Birmingham with MLB playing at Rickwood Field. They also play the stories that Mr. October shared last night on FOX Sports.

(2:02:35-2:17:19) – As we do every Friday on Query & Company, Jake shares a feel-good story. Today’s story features a story that we told for our first installment of the segment, but this time we discuss the latest news about Owen Carr from Avon. As always, this story is courtesy of our friends over at Franciscan Health!

(2:17:19-2:21:47) – Today’s show ends with JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie sharing a couple bets, and the guys discussing their weekends!
