Today we're talking mostly about news from other automakers.

Some of it actually a little bit humorous.

Looking at you, Jaguar, but we'll get to that in a second.

Tesla stock on the day today was up 2.62% to $235 even.

This compared to the Nasdaq up 1.95%.

The markets overall rose today on the back of news from the United States Trade Representative Office that some of the tariffs

that were planned to go in place on September 1st on Chinese imports will be delayed or in some

cases even removed with the delayed tariffs scheduled to take effect on December 15th.

According to the United States Trade Representative Office, the delayed tariffs will include,

for example, quote, cell phones, laptop computers, video game consoles,

certain toys, computer monitors, and certain items of footwear and clothing, end quote.

It sounds like at this point the next piece of news we should expect to hear on the

tariff situation should be in a couple of weeks when the US and China are so of newsworthy

enough to hear on the tariff situation, should be in a couple of weeks when the US and China

are supposed to talk again.

One other thing that happened in the macro environment that I think just newsworthy enough to make

people aware of in case you haven't seen it is that yesterday Monday the main

Argentina stock market declined by 48% which Bloomberg says is the second biggest

decline in a stock market in a single day since 1950.
