Today we're going to be talking about the life of Jacob and there are so many things to take

from his life.

And we're going to do somewhat of a character study.

Because there's things in Jacob's life that are so applicable to us, but you have to dig the research out to really get an understanding of what God was doing in his life.

And the Bible says in Genesis chapter 25 and verse 22, it says that Isaac was, Isaac Rebecca they were barren she was barren for about 20 years

and the bible says that rebecca finally conceived it says in verse 22 of gen chapter 25 verse 22 it says, and the children

struggled together within her and she said, if it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire

of the Lord. And the Lord said unto her, two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from

thy bowels. The one people shall be stronger than the other people, and the elder shall serve

the younger. And in verse 26, it says, and after that his brother came out, his hand took hold of Esau's heel, and his name was called Jacob.

And Isaac was three score years old when she buried them.

So we need to talk about this.

This is just, oh, man, I'm so excited about this episode today.

Because the beauty and the meat and the substance that is in this text is a marvel to behold.

Number one, we have to think about how Jacob came to be.

Isaac was single and Abram sent his servant on a task to find Isaac a wife.

And this servant, he sent a servant back to the land that he came from. He sent his servant on a 550-mile journey to find his
