Summary
Who is the real Mr. Football for Tennessee in 2017? LSU went into the Volunteer State three classes ago to pluck a pair of five stars in JaCoby Stevens and Jacob Phillips from the Nashville metro area, and both Tigers will return there Saturday for a clash with Vanderbilt.
They talk (9:00) about going home for a road game, but they also talk a little trash about a high school rivalry that turned into a college friendship. They also talk about the growth each has seen in the other, as well as the development of LSU's 2019 defense.
After a great chat with Jacob and JaCoby, we sit down with LSU running backs coach Tommie Robinson to talk about his vision for the Tigers' backs in this new offense, the fit of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, the experience of Lanard Fournette, the development of the younger backs, and how recruits have responded to the system.
We also update, early in the show, the status of a few defensive players who've picked up injuries in recent weeks, and we hear from Ed Orgeron on the improvement of Joe Burrow.
